0 Degree Winter Trail Fest

This winter trail festival takes place on December 12, 2026 at Wadhams Lodge in Powder Mills Park. The race uses a single natural-surface loop of approximately 5 miles that starts and finishes at Wadhams Lodge; participants may run one, two, or three loops to complete the offered distances.

Distances:

  • 5 miles, one loop
  • 10 miles, two loops
  • 15 miles, three loops

Registration has a fee of $30 and closes one week before the event. There is no day-of registration and overall entries are limited by a hard cap; registration closes when that limit is reached. The first 150 registered runners receive a custom hot cocoa mug for use at the post-race hot chocolate bar. A fund covers the entry fee for the first 70 runners in the 5 mile race, making those entries free of charge.

This is a Green Race with refill-only water stations; each participant must carry their own hydration system because cups will not be provided at refill stations. The course is a trail route and individual loop distances may vary from the stated 5 miles, so participants should prepare accordingly. Awards information notes support for trail stewardship.
