Yorkshire 3 Peaks 70km 50mile Ultra 2027
The event is the 12th edition of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Ultra, a trail running event in North Yorkshire that follows classic limestone trails and the Cam Road. The route visits the three peaks Whernside, Ingleborough and Pen y Ghent and returns along the Cam Road. The original course covers 70 km with a stated total ascent of 2185 metres. A new boost extension for 2027 allows participants who return to Race HQ to continue and increase their total distance to 50 miles.

Entries are limited to 100 and the minimum age is 20. The event includes Ranger Safety Team support at HQ, road head and hill top locations. On course provision includes water, soft drinks, snacks and hot soup at road heads. Race notes and a GPX file are emailed to entered participants. Indoor hall floor resting is available for racers returning to HQ; a hot meal and drinks are provided at the finish, with breakfast the following morning. Trophies and finishers medals are awarded for both the 70 km and 50 mile categories.
A compulsory minimum kit list is enforced. Required items include a backpack, waterproof jacket, warm layers, appropriate footwear, paper map and base plate compass, head torch with backup, emergency bivvy, sufficient food and fluids, first aid, a fully charged UK mobile phone and a litter bag.
