Wiltshire - Poppy Hope & Remembrance Run
This is a timed, multi-lap event held at Coate Water Country Park in Swindon. The lap measures 3.28 miles (5.28 km) and participants may complete as many laps as they wish before the event cutoff. Completing at least one lap records an official time and all finishers receive a unique medal. The event supports the British Legion.
The course uses a mix of well maintained gravel and tarmac paths, lakeside tracks, and woodland trails. It is generally flat with a few short undulations and is described as suitable for road shoes. Each lap crosses the spiral concrete "Curly Wurly" bridge, which leads onto a woodland railway path.
An aid station is sited at the start/finish of each lap and provides race nutrition with options for special dietary requirements, including vegan and gluten free choices. A cafe inside the park and a nearby pub offer food and drink in the venue area.
Places are limited to manage numbers on the paths and the bridge. The organiser states that a physical running service is provided and that all attendees and virtual participants receive a physical memento from their run. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
