Testway Ultra
The Testway Ultra is a point-to-point trail event along the established Test Way in Hampshire. It follows a long-distance footpath from the countryside around Linkenholt to a finish in Totton near Southampton, crossing chalk downs, rolling farmland, woodland trails and rural villages. The event is in its 10th year.
Two race distances are offered:
- 50 mile Ultra – £80
- 40 mile Ultra – £70
The course is fully marked by the event team, with high-visibility signage used on final sections that may run into the evening. Aid stations are provided at approximately 10 mile intervals and supply sweet and savoury snacks, water, juice and cola. Friendly marshals are positioned at major road crossings and experienced medical and safety support is available along the route. All finishers receive a medal. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and first three female finishers.
An optional shuttle bus is available for £10 to transport participants from the finish in Totton back to vehicles in Linkenholt; runners who withdraw during the event are transported to the finish area and may use the shuttle if they have purchased a ticket. No deferrals are accepted within four weeks of the event. The race operates a 14 hour cut-off. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
