Gut Buster
Gut Buster is an end-of-year trail running event held at Butlers Lands Farm in Mortimer, Reading, Berkshire. The route passes water crossings, Roman Walls, open fields and footpaths; the final 400 m can be affected by farming and crop rotation.
At the finish line mulled wine and mince pies are provided. Organizers also hope to have a local brewery, massage and additional refreshments available. Registration includes a medal, an iTAB engraved with the participant name and finish time that is delivered after the race, free race photos, chip timing and access to ample toilets.
Dogs are no longer permitted at this event because of bus restrictions and requests from local landowners. Entry fees listed for the event range from £32 to £35 depending on distance.
Recorded fastest times on the course include 00:36:22 for the 10K (2015), 00:41:05 for the 10K (2013), 00:56:58 for the 10 Mile (2015) and 01:05:33 for the 10 Mile (2025).
