Wild One Run

The Wild One Run is Wilden's eighth annual trail run, held on October 3, 2026, in the backcountry above Okanagan Lake in Kelowna, BC. The event offers three distances on marked trails that include gravel road and single-track with loose and uneven footing.

Distances

  • 10K : chip-timed, technical terrain, about 400 m elevation gain
  • 5K : chip-timed, about 200 m elevation gain; dog run and walk options
  • 1K : kids fun run, not timed; parents may run free

The 5K dog run has its own podium and prizes for top dogs. Every participant receives a finisher medal; 5K and 10K entries include a technical bandana. Top finishers in the 5K and 10K receive trophies and gift cards; the event recognises top non-binary, male and female finishers.

All proceeds and donations go to the Wilden Legacy Fund for Youth Mental Health; Wilden matches the community total each year. Registration is online only and closes at noon on October 1, 2026; there is no registration on race morning. Package pick-up is available the day before or at the event hub.

The event hub is at the north end of Union Road beside the Wilden Presentation Centre (1881 Hidden Hills Drive). This is a cupless race; bring trail shoes and your own water. First aid and course marshals are on site, and volunteers sweep routes after the morning. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
