We Out Here Trail Festival
We Out Here Trail Festival is scheduled for June 12, 2027 at St. Edwards State Park in Kirkland, Washington, pending final park approval. The event is organized as a looped trail race with a festival area on site.
The event is designed with first time trail runners in mind; in 2026, 62% of participants identified as first time trail runners. The festival states a vision of creating a welcoming and inclusive trail community and extends an invitation to people from underrepresented communities, including Black people and people of color.
The looped course is intended to provide spectator support. All race participants receive a medal at the finish and access to nonalcoholic drinks and snacks in the festival area. The festival area also includes free face painting and children's activities. Race distances are approximate.
Distances offered include:
- 1.9 miles 1 loop for participants ages 6+
- 3.8 miles 2 loops for participants ages 18+
- 5.7 miles 3 loops for participants ages 18+
- 2 hours access to food and drink only
The event is adopting a sustainable racing program that removes disposable cups; participants will receive a reusable HydraPak SpeedCup. Parking at St. Edwards is limited, a Discovery Pass is required for parking, and the park is about 15 miles from Seattle's Capitol Hill and 4.5 miles from Bothell.
