Valley View Mike Donahue Memorial 5 Miler
Campus Recreation presents the Valley View Mike Donahue Memorial 5 Miler at Hydaway Outdoor Center in Lynchburg, VA on Saturday, November 7, 2026. The event serves as the second race in the Fall Liberty Mountain Trail Series.
The course is a 5 mile trail race run on single track trails and mountain roads along the Liberty Mountain Trail System. The event is organized in partnership with the Liberty University Military Affairs department and is held in memory of Major Mike Donahue.
Registration opens July 20, 2026 and closes November 6, 2026; the registration fee is $35.00. A featured giveaway t shirt is guaranteed for registrations completed before October 29; a limited number of extra shirts will be available at packet pickup on a first come basis. Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at LaHaye Rotunda and on race day at Hydaway.
Awards include top three male and female overall winners, top three male and female in each age group, and top male and female masters winners for ages over 40. Overall awards are ranked by gun time and age group awards by chip time. Door prizes will be distributed during the event. A referral program offers a $20 refund after three referred registrations.
