Tri-Valley Front Runners Upton 10.5K and Half Marathon Trail Race
The event is a trail run in Upton State Forest in Upton, MA. The course uses technical, hilly single-track trails and forest roads with two laps for the half marathon and one lap for the shorter distance. Each lap is approximately 6.5 miles and has about 720 ft of elevation gain.

Aid stations are located at the corner of Dean Pond Road and Park Road and at the Park Road/Loop Road intersection, spaced roughly every 3 miles. Dogs are not permitted on the course and the route is not stroller friendly. Alcoholic beverages are strictly prohibited in the park.
Parking is available onsite; organizers note limited capacity and a total participant cap of 250 for both distances combined. There is no day-of registration; pre-registration closes on 2026-11-06. Pre-registration fees are listed as $30 for the shorter trail distance and $35 for the half marathon. Bib pickup begins at 7:30 AM on race day, with early pickup the day before at Rushford & Sons Brewhouse in Upton.
A preview run is scheduled for 2026-11-01. The first 100 registrants receive beanies. Post-race amenities include TVFR swag, fire pits, hot soup, light snacks, and hot chocolate.
