Alpine Valley - UltraTrax
Alpine Valley in Elkhorn, WI is a multi-loop trail event held in the fall on Alpine Valley Resort terrain in the Kettle Moraine region. The course uses a 7 mile loop that runs through wooded slopes, twisting single-track, open ski runs, ridgelines, and varied trail surfaces. Terrain includes climbs, ridgeline sections, fire roads, and singletrack with panoramic views.
Participants may choose from multiple levels based on how many loops they complete and whether they carry additional weight. All official distances must be completed within a ten hour window to earn the event patch or upper-level awards.
Distances
- Level 1: One full 7 mile loop.
- Level 2: Two full 7 mile loops.
- Level 3: Three full 7 mile loops.
- Level 4: Four full 7 mile loops.
Rucking options allow participants to add weight to their vest or pack in increments of 10, 20, or 35 pounds; participants bring their own pack for weight options and packs are weighed before the event. The event provides professionally timed results, marked trails, staffed aid stations, professional photos, and a trail pack that includes a commemorative patch, an UltraTrax finisher shirt, and the Grey Wolf medal for upper level finishers.
