Lapham Loppet
The Lapham Loppet is a day of cross-country ski races held at Lapham Peak in Delafield, Wisconsin. Two 11K events are offered in different techniques and each carries a $40 entry fee. Registration opens on 2026-11-06 and closes on 2027-01-16, and in-person race-day registration is held at Lapham Lodge.
- Lapham Loppet Freestyle: 11K
- Lapham Loppet Classical: 11K
The 11K course includes long hills and uses trails that have received recognition for grooming quality. If natural snow is insufficient, the race will be run in laps on manmade snow loops. Two warming shelters with heated indoor toilets are available at Lapham Lodge and Homestead Hollow.
There is a separate middle school race with a $5 entry fee; participants should sign in with their coach or at Lapham Lodge on race day. High school and adult fields use a mass start format. Chip timing is provided by Trackside Timing and results are posted online.
Awards are given to the top three male and female finishers overall and in age group categories. Freestyle and classical events follow different age-category groupings as listed by the organizer. Proceeds from the event support a snowmaking project. The event policy states there are no refunds. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
