Cold Coding in Lake Geneva

Cold Coding is a dog-focused trail running event organized by TYDISH Running at Lake Geneva Ziplines and Adventures, N3232 County Road H, Lake Geneva, WI. The event centers on Canicross but also accepts dog runners using a y-shaped harness and hand-held leash. Participants without dogs may register as solo runners.

The course is a 4 mile loop on the zipline grounds with winding, technical single-track trails, a hill near the start, and some bridges used by mountain bikers. The loop records 463 ft of total ascent and 479 ft of total descent. Entrants may choose one loop (4 miles) or two loops (8 miles) for the day; changing to a shorter distance after starting makes a runner ineligible for podium awards.

Awards are given to the top three men and top three women overall in each distance, and only participants running with a dog are eligible for podium placement. All finishers receive a non-medal finisher item.

On-course support includes water and an electrolyte drink; participants must provide their own reusable hydration vessel because single-use disposable cups are not provided. A table will be available for drop bags for those doing multiple loops. Alcohol, cowbells, and other noisy devices are not allowed. The event follows Leave No Trace principles; disrespectful behavior by participants or their crew may result in disqualification. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
