Ultra X Wales : Brecon Beacons, 24–25 July 2027
Ultra X Wales is a multi-day trail running event in the Brecon Beacons near Abergavenny, Wales. The route follows rugged trails through rolling hills and valleys, with variable underfoot conditions typical of upland terrain. The organiser rates the event difficulty 4/6 and technicality 3/5. Expected daytime temperatures are 14 to 22°C.

Races at Ultra X Wales are UTMB® Index Races in the 100m, 100k, 50k and 20k categories. Participants can camp at Llangorse Activity Centre outside Abergavenny on the Friday and Saturday nights of the event. A full Race Pack with detailed information, timings and cut-offs is emailed to registered participants one month before the event.
Entries are being released in three stages due to increased demand, with a second release currently open. The event is part of the Great British Slam recognition, which applies to runners who complete three specified Ultra X events within a calendar year; only ultra distances count and shorter distances such as the 25 km do not qualify for the Slam.
