Twisted Branch Trail Run
The Twisted Branch Trail Run is a point to point trail race held in Naples, NY on August 22, 2026. The advertised distance is 100K+ (described as feeling like 65 miles) and the course follows the historic Bristol Hills Branch trail between two small lake towns in the Finger Lakes region.
The trail is reported to be nearly 95% single track and runs through largely natural, undeveloped areas. Estimated elevation change is listed at about 10,000 feet gain and 11,000 feet loss. Organizers note the course is unforgiving and can be mentally and physically demanding; sections that look flat on an elevation profile may still be difficult to run.
Race logistics and support include 11 fully stocked aid stations, five of which have easy access for crew. There is a 20 hour cutoff. The event is a UTMB qualifier worth four points and is also a Western States qualifier for finishers under 20 hours.
Shuttle service to the start is offered on Friday night only for an additional fee of $10 and will leave participants' cars at the finish. Camping is free on both nights: Friday at Ontario County Park (start area) and Saturday at the Hammondsport Fire Hall grounds (finish area). An entry price is listed at $312.35.
