Mrs. McCormick's Ice House : Ontario County Park winter trail races
Mrs. McCormick's Ice House is a winter trail event held at Ontario County Park at Gannett Hill in Naples, NY. The course is a roughly 4-mile loop on trails; participants may complete one, two, or three loops to cover different distances. The race day course can change because of trail conditions, weather, or decisions by the Race Director.
Race headquarters is at Wilson Lodge. The lodge is heated and has real restrooms. Parking is available next to the lodge and park roads and parking will be plowed before the event if needed. The park main road is one-way, and participants and visitors should follow posted signage.

New for 2027, a snowshoe race is listed, while race rules also note that snowshoes are generally not permitted during the running race. Footwear with aggressive tread or traction options is recommended when snow or ice are present.
Post-race features include hot beverages, hot chocolate with a recovery option, buckwheat pancakes served with local maple syrup, fresh fruit, and a heated lodge with a fireplace. A snowshoe demo is planned and one participant will win a pair of snowshoes. The event has a single price with relaxed deadlines and no fees for transfers, distance changes, deferrals, or refunds within stated deadlines.
