Tread, White & Blue 5K Trail Race
The event is a 5k trail race at the Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC. Runners choose a color division at registration : red, white, or blue : and follow arrows of that color to determine their route. Course maps are revealed on the day of the race.
Packet pick-up is scheduled for July 2nd at the South Conference Center. The race takes place on July 3rd, 2027. Race shirts are only guaranteed to participants who register on or before June 21st, 2027.
Registration details list a pre-registration fee and a day-of registration fee. All participants must sign the Whitewater Center Assumption of Risk Agreement before participating; the waiver can be printed and brought to packet pick-up or completed on site. Race registration is non-refundable.
Trails remain open to other runners, hikers, and bikers during the event; participants are asked to communicate when passing other users. No e-bikes or powered transportation are permitted in Whitewater Race Series events. Post-race drinks are included in registration and offer a specialty bomb pop drink with a choice of champagne or hard seltzer for those 21 and older, with non-alcoholic options available and valid ID required.
The Center enforces a daily parking fee and maintains policies on weather, safety, and emergency response. Awards are given to the top three overall male and female finishers in each color division; recipients must be present at the award ceremony.
