Trail Demon 5k and 10k
The Trail Demon 5k and 10k takes place May 1, 2027 at Dirt Farm Brewing in Bluemont, Virginia. Points from the event count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Sippin Series. A virtual run option is available.
Distances
- 5 km loop once on a forest trail behind the brewery
- 10 km two loops of the same forest trail
The course is a technical forest trail with tree roots, rocks, and some elevation changes. Water stations are placed at approximately mile markers 0.6, 1.7, 3.1, 3.9, and 5 on the 10k course; the 5k has stations near 0.8 and 1.9 miles. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located in the brewery.
Runners receive a finisher medal, a technical event shirt (shirts guaranteed for registrations before April 21), chip timing, and a glass of beer from Dirt Farm Brewery. Entry fees listed until April 15 are $35 for the 5k and $50 for the 10k, with published higher rates after that date and an additional race day increase.
Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to first and second in standard age categories; overall top three finishers are not eligible for age-group awards.
