Smoketown Brewery 5k & 10k
The event offers two chip-timed out-and-back races on the C&O canal path near Smoketown Brewery in Brunswick, Maryland. The course is a light gravel dirt path and is described as basically flat for the entire route. The start and finish are on the canal path with the brewery a short walk from the Brunswick MARC train parking at 100 S Maple Ave.

Water stations are limited on this route; the 10k has three stations at about mile 0.6, 3.1 and 5.6, and the 5k has two at about mile 0.6 and 2.5. Gatorade will be available at some stations. Participants may bring their own water. Port-a-johns are located near the parking lot.
Runners receive a glass of beer, a finisher’s medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirt guarantees apply to registrations before Feb 24; sizes for race day registration cannot be guaranteed. Race day registration and packet pickup are available at the event; packet pickup is recommended roughly one hour before each race.
Results are posted live on Athlinks with a QR code available at the race and final results with series points are published the Monday after the event. Photos taken by staff are posted after the race. The event awards top 3 men and women overall and age-group places across standard age brackets.
