Tick Tock Ultra
The Tick Tock Ultra is a timed lake-lap event held at Lake Hollingsworth in Lakeland, Florida. Runners complete repeated laps of a paved walkway that follows the lake shoreline; each lap measures 2.84 miles. Participants aim to log as many laps as possible within the event time limits.
Event formats include:
- 12-hour individual race
- 6-hour individual race
- 12-hour 5-person relay for teams of 3 to 5
Teams in the relay may have one runner on course at a time and accumulate laps as a group. The field for the event is limited to the first 200 entrants and the relay field is limited to 20 teams. Registration-related dates listed for the event include a close on September 24 and a September 1 deadline to guarantee shirt size and printed bib name.
Food service at the Runners Village features pancakes, hotdogs, hamburgers, quesadillas, smoked and grilled chicken, smoked pork butt and brisket, plus standard race snacks and beverages. Awards are provided to the top three male and female finishers in each timed race, masters awards for the next over-40 finishers, finisher awards for individuals or relay teams completing at least 10 laps, and overall relay awards for top teams. Portions of each entry fee benefit the Pheel Good Foundation.
