Long Haul Course Preview
This event is a course preview and training run organized by A1 Ultra Events at Colt Creek State Park in Lakeland, FL. The preview follows a marked single loop of 16.8 miles; participants may run additional mileage at their own discretion. Registration for the event is required separately from the 2027 LH100 race, and participants do not have to be registered for that race to take part in the preview.
The group campground will be reserved the night before for those who wish to camp. The campground is primitive: tent camping only, with no water or electricity. There is an entry fee to the park of $3 per person or $4 per vehicle.
On-course markings and a few water stops will be provided and will remain in place until 1 pm; after that time markers, signs, and water stops may be removed. Water will be available at the run start and at two unstaffed on-course stations that offer water only. Participants should plan to bring their own food and electrolytes and leave drop bags or coolers in their vehicles. Course signs will mark major turns and provide a few confidence flags while they are in place. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
