Long Haul Course Preview
This is a course preview and training run for the 2027 LH100 held in Lakeland, FL and organized by A1 Ultra Events. The event takes place on December 5, 2026 at Colt Creek State Park.
The preview follows one loop of 16.8 miles. The course will be signed at major turns and with a few confidence flags until 1 pm. Participants may run additional mileage but should note that course markers, signs, and water stops will be removed at 1 pm; after that runners must rely on their memory or CalTopo.
A group campground is reserved for the Friday night before the run. The campground is primitive with no water or electricity and is tent camping only. There is a park entry fee of $3 per person or $4 per vehicle.
On-course hydration will include water at the run start and at two on-course aid locations used during the race. These stops will be unstaffed and provide water only. Participants should bring any needed food and electrolytes and plan to leave drop bags or coolers in their vehicles, keeping belongings secure since the park is open to the public.
