Long Haul Course Preview
This is a course preview and training run for the 2027 LH100 at Colt Creek State Park in Lakeland, FL, organized by A1 Ultra Events. Participation in the preview does not require registration for the LH100.
The course is marked for one loop of 16.8 miles. Organizers will provide a few water stops and two on course aid stations that are unstaffed and supply water only. Water will also be available at the run start. Course signs and additional confidence flags will remain in place until 1 pm, after which markers and water stops may be removed.
A group campground space is reserved the night before the run. The campground is primitive, tent camping only, and has no water or electricity. Park entry requires a fee of $3 per person or $4 per vehicle. Participants are advised to carry personal food and electrolytes, and to leave drop bags or coolers in their vehicles since the park is open to the public.
Organizers will provide meeting location details closer to the event date. Runners who wish to continue after markers are removed should be prepared to navigate using memory or external mapping tools. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
