OUTLAST TAMPA
OUTLAST TAMPA is a six hour trail endurance challenge held at Colt Creek State Park, Mac Pavilion in Lakeland, FL (16000 State Road 471). The format requires runners to complete a 5K lap every hour; each lap must be finished within the hour to remain in the event. Runners who complete all six laps earn the OUTLAST designation.
Courses are trail based with natural terrain, elevation changes, rocks and roots, and occasional pavement or gravel. Each 5K is timed individually and a runner's combined time across six laps is used for local results and national leaderboard ranking. Aid is available at the basecamp or loop start with water, basic hydration, and snacks; this is a cupless event so participants should use their own bottle or hydration system.
Awards and recognitions are tiered by laps completed: a patch for four laps, a patch for five laps, and a premium six inch OUTLAST medal for six laps. All participants receive a premium OUTLAST tee. Top male and female local winners are determined by fastest combined 5K times. Finishers appear on a national leaderboard and the overall national champion across OUTLAST events receives a cash prize. The event permits personal aid stations or tents and provides marked parking including VIP parking near the start area. Park entry fee is to be determined.
