Colt 45 Trail Run
The Colt 45 Trail Run takes place on November 21, 2026 at Colt Creek State Park in Lakeland, Florida. The event is organized as multiple loop trail races on park trails.
Distances offered:
- Colt Double Malt 60M: 45 miles plus a bonus loop for 60 miles.
- Original Colt 45 45M: three 14 mile loops plus a 3 mile starter loop total 45 miles.
- Colt Silver 45K: two 14 mile loops equaling 45K.
- Colt Mini 14M: one 14 mile loop replacing the furlongs distance.
There are three aid stations per loop. The loop between the first and second visit of Aid Station 2 is a little over 5 miles, so participants should plan to carry at least a handheld. Aid station locations are listed as MM3, MM5.6 and MM11 with the start/finish aid at MM14.
Post-race awards recognize the top three male and female finishers in each distance. Handcrafted medals are provided to other finishers and a post-race picnic is held where participants can rest and watch remaining runners. Course maps are available in GPX and CalTopo formats.
