La Sportiva Sunset Stroll
The La Sportiva Sunset Stroll is a relaxed 10 km route held as part of the YOMP weekend in Kirkby Stephen. The walk begins at Basecamp with a group warmup before the route climbs toward Tailbrigg and reaches its high point on Birket Fell.
From Birket Fell participants have views across the Eden Valley and a stop at the Berry, Grape and Grain Fell Top tasting experience, where a selection of culinary products is offered. The route is fully marshalled and flagged, and participants may walk or jog at their own pace.
Friendly hosts are available along the route to accompany participants, share local history and landscape information, and describe mountain experiences. The format frames the event as a guided outdoor stroll that combines walking on marked trails with a tasting stop and on-route commentary.
