About the race
The Underground Circus 100 is a multi-distance ultrarunning event held in Smyrna, Georgia, on the Silver Comet Trail near 4625 Camp Highland Rd SE. Distances offered include:

The course uses a five-mile out, five-mile in configuration combining trail and paved sections. The route is an out-and-back straight shot along the trail, with the race director riding a bicycle to lead runners onto the trail. Runners may use the trail shoulder or the asphalt as they prefer.
Lap counting operates on an honor system; each lap must cross the start/finish line to be counted and the race director has final authority on disqualification for course cutting. Two aid stations are positioned on course, one at the start line and one at the halfway point, stocked with basic supplies for hydration and energy. Participants with dietary restrictions can request accommodations through the race director.
Event services note that vans, campers, and RVs are permitted but there are no electrical hookups. Volunteers earn race credits, and completing a full 12 hour volunteer shift grants free entry to the following year. There are no refunds; remaining proceeds are donated to local homeless communities. Distance transfers to a shorter event are allowed for the current race year.
