The Underground Circus 100 : Smyrna, GA
The Underground Circus 100 is an ultra trail event held at the Silver Comet Trail in Smyrna, Georgia. The event offers multiple timed-distance options and uses a straight out-and-back course based on a five-mile out, five-mile in layout that combines trail and asphalt. Runners may use the trail sidelines or the asphalt surface.
Distances:
- 100 Miles
- 50 Miles
- 24 hour
- 12 hours
- 6 hours
There are two aid stations: one at the start/finish area and one at the halfway point. Aid stations provide hydration and energy items; dietary accommodations can be arranged through the race director. The event operates on an honor system; the race director has final authority on disqualification. Laps that do not cross the start/finish line are not counted.
There are no checkpoint cut-offs; participants have the full allowed race time to complete their chosen distance. If a runner withdraws on course, they are asked to return to the start/finish or an aid station because some trail sections lose phone reception. Parking is allowed for vans, campers, or RVs but electrical hookups are not available.
Entry fees are listed between $97.06 and $296.37 USD across available offers. Registration closes on May 28 prior to the event. Refunds are not offered; remaining proceeds are donated to local homeless communities. Distance transfers to a shorter race are permitted for the current year only.
