10th Annual Yeti 7/11 Endurance Run
The Yeti 7/11 Hour Endurance Run is an event held in Lithia Springs, Georgia, at Sweetwater Creek State Park. The race is organized by Yeti Trail Runners and focuses on a community-oriented trail experience. Participants navigate a course that includes single-track and double-track trails, hidden lakes, and historic sites including raging waterfalls and views from a ridgeline.
Participants can select from three different time-based durations:
- 11-hour endurance run
- 7-hour endurance run
- 3-hour endurance run
The course consists of a 4-mile loop featuring a mix of terrain, including carriage roads and a lost jeep road. The route is marked with ribbons and includes various elevations. For timing, the event utilizes a professional chip timing system to track laps and splits in real time.
The event features a themed aid station located at the Group Shelter on Mount Vernon Road. This station provides specific snacks such as hot dogs, honey buns, crackers, and pixie sticks, alongside water and electrolyte drinks. Facilities including bathrooms are available at the shelter, and parking is located at the end of the main park road. Awards are presented to the overall male and female finishers in the 7-hour and 11-hour categories. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
