The Ultra Loop Track Edition
The Ultra Loop Track Edition is a timed track event held at Woodbank Park Athletics Track in Stockport, Greater Manchester (Woodbank, Woodbank Park, Stockport SK1 4JR). Participants run repeated laps of a 400m track and may choose between 6, 12 or 24 hour challenges.
Entries can be solo or as a team of up to four runners. Team entries run in relay style with only one team member on the course at any time. All finishers receive a recorded finishing time and a medal; results show laps completed, total distance and elapsed time. Any laps not completed before the strict cut-off are excluded from final results. The event maintains a leaderboard and course records.
Registration procedures include a confirmation email and an event guide sent before the race. Race bibs and timing chips are collected at registration on the morning of the event. Participants aged 12 to 15 must have a parent or guardian contact the organiser and that guardian must attend the event. Under 12s are not permitted.
Event facilities include an indoor building with bag drop, toilets, changing rooms and showers. An aid station provides water, fruit, sweet and savoury snacks, energy bars and electrolyte products from the event sponsor VOOM. Participants are asked to bring their own water bottles as cups are not provided. Twenty four hour runners may pitch a personal tent on the grass inside the track; tents are not supplied by the organiser. Entry fees range from £30 to £85.
