The Maverick Oxfordshire Trail 2026

The Maverick Oxfordshire Trail takes place on Saturday 7 November 2026 at Stonor Park, Henley-on-Thames in the Chilterns Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Routes start from the 850 year old Stonor manor and run through estate woodland where fallow deer and red kite may be seen.

The course includes sustained climbs and descents, with gradients reaching 22 percent in places. Trails are fully marked and the event supplies precision fuel and hydration outposts, although the Short route has no outpost. There are no toilets on the run routes; toilets are provided in the start and finish area.

Distances and elevation:

  • Half Marathon: 22 km, elevation +511 m
  • Middle: 13 km, elevation +360 m
  • Short: 7 km, elevation +99 m

Event services at the venue include free parking, bag drop, event photography, fully timed results and food and drink. Outposts offer fruit, cake, savoury snacks, gels and electrolyte. The event is dog friendly when a dog is added to the entry and dog spaces are limited. Participants under 16 must be accompanied by a participating adult. Organisers advise bringing trail shoes, a rain layer, a refillable bottle or cup, a phone and basic emergency kit. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
