Ridgeway Run 2026
The Ridgeway Run is a trail race of approximately 15 km held in Tring on 11th October 2026. The event, first held in 1982, is the 44th running of the race and follows a mainly off-road route on footpaths and bridleways with Chiltern views.
The course starts on the outskirts of Tring, ascends into the Ashridge Estate, passes the Bridgewater Monument, includes a stretch of the Ridgeway path and Pitstone Hill, and then descends back into Tring to finish at the Cricket Club. The route is fully marshalled and has water stations at 3 and 6 miles. All finishers receive a branded snood. There are place, veteran and team prizes; teams require three members to qualify in the male and female categories. A prize is offered for any runner who breaks the existing course records. Current course records are: male 52:40 (2015) and female 56:45 (2025).
Entries are accepted online only, with a limit of 650 places. Online entry will remain open until midday on Saturday 10 October; there is no paper entry at the venue. Transfers are permitted until midday on Thursday 1 October. There are no refunds or deferrals. A portion of event proceeds will fund the planting of 200 trees through the Trees not Tees initiative, and organisers will collect old running shoes for JogOn; shoes should be tied together and dry.
The race is held under UKA rules with TRA permit number 8539. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
