The Honey Badger Trail Races
The Honey Badger event takes place at China Camp State Park in Santa Venetia, California. This trail race series offers multiple distances for participants to explore the natural scenery of Miwok Meadows. For those unable to attend the live event in person, virtual participation options are available for all distances, allowing runners to complete their miles from any location.
The event features the following distances:
- 5 km trail race
- 10 km trail race
- 13.1 miles trail race (Half Marathon)
Participants in the live event receive a lifestyle tee and a woodallion. Runners also receive a custom beer sampler stein and a goodie bag containing snacks such as yogurt and energy bars. Following the completion of the courses, an on-site festival features beverages provided by a local brewery.
Bib and shirt collection is organized on the day prior to the race at a local running store in San Francisco, or on the morning of the event at the start area. The half marathon distance is described as a significant physical effort, and prior experience with trail running or the distance is suggested for those considering that specific course.
