14th Annual Richmond District YMCA Jog in the Fog 5K
The Jog in the Fog family 5K takes place on September 20, 2026 in San Francisco and is organized by the Richmond District YMCA. The event is described as kid friendly and is open to school groups, sports teams, and multi-generational families. All registered participants receive the event race t shirt.
The official course begins at Mountain Lake Park and finishes at the USS San Francisco Memorial Parking Lot in Lands End. The route winds through scenic trails and is measured at 3.4 miles. Course monitors will be positioned along the route. Portions of the course include rocky, uneven terrain and stairs, so strollers are not recommended and dogs are not permitted.
Basic event services include restrooms at the start and at the finish. The event does not provide lockers or storage for personal items, and there is no shuttle service. Street parking is available near Mountain Lake Park and parking is available at the finish lot. Transit options serving the area include Muni lines 38 Geary and 1 California.
Registration fees range from $10 to $55 with age-based pricing: $55 for adults 18 and over, $45 for teens 12 to 17, and $10 for youth 11 and under. Pre-race bib and shirt pick up is offered the day before at the Richmond District YMCA and day of bib pick up is available at the starting area, with shirts distributed after the finish. Post-race festivities at the finish include snacks, games, music, and kid-friendly activities. Awards are given in youth, teen, adult, and a Gold Division for 60 plus with male, female, and non-binary top finishers recognized. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
