The Hampshire Hoppit
The Hampshire Hoppit is a trail running event in June 2027 near Kingsclere that routes runners across Hampshire and Berkshire countryside. Courses are predominantly off-road, following long-distance footpaths and passing open viewpoints and hilly terrain. Routes are clearly marked and supported by volunteer marshals and aid stations.
Distances:
- Marathon, 26.2 miles single-lap trail with regular aid stations.
- Half marathon, 13.1 miles on scenic historic paths.
- 10K, 10 kilometres shorter trail course with the same race-day atmosphere.
The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and is run under UK Athletics Rules for Competition. Race-day facilities include a race village with music, catering and spectators. Every finisher receives a medal, a goody bag and a custom engraved beer glass, plus Loddon Hoppit ale or a soft drink. Downloadable professional race photos are provided after the event.
The race has received Racecheck Gold awards from 2018 to 2026 and holds a 4.9 rating from over 630 reviews. Organisers present the event as run by runners, with a focus on safety, marshal support and race-day detail. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
