Terror of Tammany
Terror of Tammany is a trail running event held on Saturday 21 March 2027 at Worthington State Forest Campground. It is presented as the second day of the Mt Tammany runs and follows the DWG Fatt Ass 50K "FELSENMEER".
The event offers two distance options:
- 30K : three loops of a 6.7 mile circuit
- 50K+ : five loops of a 6.7 mile circuit
Each loop has approximately 1,750 feet of vertical ascent. The course starts at the campground and reaches the Garvey Springs Trailhead after about 0.25 miles. The route uses existing trail markings supplemented with yellow streamers at key intersections. Runners must check in at the timing tent at the Start/Finish area for accountability.
Entry is limited to 100 runners and there is a 12 hour time limit. The 30K entry fee is $110 and the 50K+ fee is $130. All finishers receive awards; an athlete must finish before the event cut-off to be an official finisher.
Crews are allowed only at the Start/Finish area, which serves as the primary aid station and drop bag location. Pacers are allowed only on the final loop for the 30K and starting on loop 4 for the 50K+. Trails remain open to the public and the terrain includes steep climbs, mountain views, and waterfalls; falls and injuries are possible.
