TARC Blue Hills Skyline Trail Run - Blue Hills Reservation
The TARC Blue Hills Skyline Trail Run is an old school 12K trail race on the Blue Hills Reservation in Milton, Massachusetts, held Saturday, July 11, 2026. The course includes approximately 2,300 feet of climbing and follows the North and South Skyline Trail.
Terrain is rocky and steep and includes staircase climbs and tumbling rock downhills. Runners should expect technical New England woodland paths and occasional views of the Boston skyline.
The course route starts at the Blue Hills Ski Area parking lot (1904 Canton Avenue) and follows the Accord Path to the Skyline Trail, continuing to Great Blue Hill and returning via the northern Skyline Trail to the finish in the parking lot. Course markings consist only of Skyline blazes; participants are responsible for knowing the route beforehand. Organizers advise studying the online map, downloading the GPX file to a watch, or printing the map to bring on race day. Runners must stay on the marked course to avoid trail erosion.
Aid is limited: there is one aid station at a road crossing that is passed twice, plus aid at the start/finish. Participants are required to carry hydration packs or handheld bottles. The event follows a Leave No Trace policy.
