Survival of the F.I.T.test - 34 Hour Trail Ultra
This is a timed trail event in Cumberland, Rhode Island, held over multihour formats. The course is a 4.2 mile loop with roughly 50% nontechnical smooth trail and 50% moderately technical trail with rocks and roots. Participants may enter solo or as teams of up to four and complete as many laps as they can within their allotted time.
Event formats include:
- Individual 34 hour entry
- Team entries for 34 hours up to four members
- Individual 12 hour entry, estimated distance about 100K
- Individual 8 hour entry, estimated distance about 50K
- Pacers available to run during the event
Awards are issued for team total mileage milestones at 150 miles (36 team laps), 200 miles (48 team laps), 250 miles (60 team laps), and 400 miles (96 team laps). Individual buckles are awarded for reaching 50K (about 8 laps), 50 miles (12 laps), 100K (15 laps), and 100 miles (24 laps). A spacious, centrally located pit area permits 10x10 canopy tents for crew and gear. Team registration allows roster changes up until the event begins.
