Slaley Hall & Forest Trail Runs 2026
The Slaley Hall Trail Runs return for their eighth year with two organised trail distances held at Slaley Hall and Slaley Forest in November. The event offers a 10km and a half marathon and is presented as an option for first-time runners at those distances or for those training for longer runs.
The venue is Slaley Hall Hotel, Coal Road, Hexham, NE47 0BX, located south of Hexham on the edge of the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and set within around 1,000 acres of woodland and countryside. Routes combine forest trails and historic estate grounds.
Distances
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles; includes about 7 miles in Slaley Forest
- 10km - 6.2 miles; a single lap of the Slaley Hall grounds
The event is canicross friendly: one well-controlled dog per runner is allowed and dogs must remain on a lead at all times. Live chip timing is provided by Timing Up North and race results are available instantly. All finishers receive an event medal, a bacon roll or alternative, and a hot drink; the hotel bar is available for additional refreshments.
