Shiver Me Timbers - Winding Paths
Shiver Me Timbers is an eight mile trail event held on Sunday 14 June 2026 along the Coast Path in Torbay. The route starts at the Bay of Goodrington, follows coastal trails, travels through woodlands, crosses bays and coves, passes through a grove, and returns to Goodrington. The event includes an on-route feature in which participants search for the Pirate King and are expected to carry a found bribe to the finish to receive a reward.
The course has one aid station that is visited twice, at approximately mile 2 and mile 6. The official cut off time for the event is three hours. Race headquarters are at Youngs Park, Goodrington, South Devon.
All finishers receive a bespoke medal and a sweet treat at the finish. Entry is restricted to people aged over 18. Entry fees are listed as £26 for affiliated participants and £28 for unaffiliated participants. The event notes that an optional Refund Protect Insurance may be offered by the registration provider; this option is separate from the event organiser.
