Sewanee Slammer - October 17, 2026
The Sewanee Slammer is a 20 Miler held in Sewanee, TN on October 17, 2026, organized by Nashville Running Company. The course is a single loop of the Perimeter Trail around the University of the South and along the bluffs of the Cumberland Plateau.
The route passes overlooks, geologic features, lakes and ponds, and upland deciduous forest. The start and finish are at the Mountain Goat Visitor Center in Sewanee (coordinates provided in event materials). Parking is available at the Visitor Center and on nearby grassy areas. There are three aid stations on course at miles 5.3, 10.5, and 14.06.
Registration pricing and deadlines are specified by the organizer. Shirts are guaranteed for those registered by September 27. Registration closes October 15 at 11:59 PM CT.
Ten percent of race proceeds will go to the Perimeter Trail Fund. A post race gathering will be held at Shenanigans Sewanee with food and beverages, and part of the Bama UT game will be shown. The event partners include HOKA, Feetures, and Huma, and swag will be awarded to winners.
Packet pickup is available early on Friday, October 16 at Shenanigans Sewanee from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM CST, and on race day at the start finish area from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM CST.
