Rim Runner Trail Races
Rim Runner Trail Races take place on April 10, 2027 in Sewanee, Tennessee and are organized by Green Tunnel Events. The event uses trails in Franklin State Forest, running along the West Rim and West Side trails in a large loop that overlooks the coves on either side.
The event offers three distances with specified climbing totals and a single official finish limit of 16 hours for all distances.
- 50 Miler - 5,700 ft of climbing
- 50K - 3,200 ft of climbing
- Half Marathon - 1,600 ft of climbing
The 100 mile distance will not be officially held in 2027. Entry fees are listed with a range from $76.87 to $163.25 and multiple pricing tiers are available. Registration closes on Wed, Apr 7 at 11:59 PM CT.
Refund and deferral terms are published by the organizer: cancellations made more than four weeks before the event receive a full refund or deferral; cancellations two to four weeks before receive a 50% refund or can receive a full race credit or deferral; cancellations within one week receive a 50% race credit. When cancelling in the US, a refund is the default option.
Awards include a three-layer welded steel buckle and sawed, hand-branded whiskey barrel staves for the Half Marathon, 50K, and 50 Miler. Participants also receive one mark for each loop completed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
