About the race
Samson's Revenge takes place May 22, 2027 at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado, on trails around 8,000 feet elevation. The event offers three distances on mostly runnable singletrack; parts of the course are mostly snow free but include mud and wet low spots.

The 10K follows a single lap course. The 25K and 50K use the same first lap plus additional laps; drop bag space is available at the designated start/finish area for the 25K and 50K. The 50K includes approximately 6,000 feet of elevation gain.
Aid is provided at Bible Point and the start/finish area. Aid station provisions include water, Tailwind, Coke, fruit, packaged salty snacks, and packaged sweet snacks. The course is cupless; participants should bring a cup or bottle, or obtain a reusable SpeedCup at packet pickup or race morning for $5.
Course marking uses pink flags, reflective tree markers, and Running Wild directional signs. Marshals in pink vests are posted at two key locations during the early laps. The route crosses active YMCA roads with three dirt and two paved crossings; runners are advised to make eye contact with drivers. Expect other trail users and wildlife, including deer and elk; allow at least 75 feet of space from large animals.
Packet pickup is available Friday evening at Avant Garde Aleworks and on race morning at the start line for those who cannot attend Friday. Registered runners receive a Fractel hat, finishers receive wool socks, and all entries include a $29 YMCA day pass.
