About the race
Saddleworth Res's is a series of trail events taking place on 7 March 2026 at Saddleworth Cricket Club, Calf Lane, Friezland, Greenfield, Oldham. The event offers three distance options with published ascent figures and minimum ages.
- 5 Res's: 26 km, 692 m ascent. Minimum age 17.
- 10 Res's: 43 km, 1379 m ascent. Minimum age 18.
- 15 Res's: 62 km, 1981 m ascent. Minimum age 20.
Routes travel across high moorland and visit local reservoirs. Participants will encounter a mixture of paved paths, tracks, boggy sections, boulder fields and stream crossings. The 5 Res's course includes two checkpoints, the final checkpoint is indoors. The 10 Res's course notes food at checkpoints and a named CraggRunner tipple.
Entry fees are published per distance and cover refreshments, Open Tracking Timing, professional medical and rescue cover, and a post event meal. The event has offered new races since 2025.
