Runningmonk Midway Trail
The Runningmonk Midway Trail is a multi terrain trail run of around 9 miles near Bishop's Castle. The route uses sections of the Shropshire Way and Kerry Ridgeway and passes along single track trails, forestry and local footpaths. The course covers roughly 1700 ft of elevation and includes a number of ascents and descents across natural terrain.
The route is waymarked and marshalled and the event is chip timed by Readysetgotiming. There is no cut off time so participants can progress at their own pace. Finishers receive a medal. Well behaved dogs on leads are permitted on parts of the route, though some stiles are not dog friendly so suitability for individual dogs should be considered. Registration is based at the Church Barn in Bishop's Castle and the event takes place at the Church Barn location on the advertised date. The organisers state the event is suitable for runners of all ages and abilities. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
