Chiltern Hills 100K
The Chiltern Hills 100K is a trail ultramarathon held on 2 October 2027 and based at Chesham Guides Headquarters in Lowndes Park, Chesham, Buckinghamshire. The event is a single 100K loop with over 1800m+ of elevation that follows an anticlockwise route through established Chiltern trails.
The route passes a series of local landmarks and trails including the Ashridge Estate, sections of The Ridgeway, Ivinghoe Beacon to Aldbury, Tring Park, Wendover, Coombe Hill, Whiteleaf Hill, Bledlow Ridge, Hampden and Great Missenden before returning to Chesham. The course is fully marked and runners are required to carry a GPX route on watch or phone plus a printed map provided at registration. GPS open tracking and chip timing are provided.
There are six checkpoints with toilets and aid at the following approximate locations: 14km, 28km, 41.4km, 57.8km, 75.3km and 88km. Checkpoints offer water, coke, products from Precision Fuel and Hydration, snacks, pre-made sandwiches, Chia Charge mini flapjacks, fresh fruit and hot drinks at selected points. A drop bag service is available at the Hastoe checkpoint.
The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and held under UKA rules, has a UTMB World Series index, a maximum field of 250 runners and a minimum entry age of 20. Required kit includes a mobile phone with route, refillable hydration (0.5L min), waterproof or windproof jacket, extra warm layers, head torch with spare battery, reusable cup, basic first aid supplies and payment method for emergencies.
