About the race
Run The Vines 2026 #10 takes place on 19 September 2026 at Slanghoek Cellar in the Breede River Valley, Western Cape. The event is part of the Run The Vines 2026 series presented by First Ascent and is organised by Onsite Events. The venue is located in Slanghoek Valley, about 800 m above sea level and surrounded by the Slanghoek Mountains.
The event offers multiple trail running distances and a junior challenge. Distances and entry prices include:
- 3 km Kids U/8 junior challenge : free
- 3 km Adult accompanying a child : R120
- 5 km : R180 (includes timing tag)
- 10 km : R200 (includes timing tag)
- 17 km : R230 (includes timing tag)
Timing is managed by BoutTime; participants must collect their timing tag at registration. A permanent BoutTime tag can be purchased for R100 for use at other events. A late entry fee of R50 may apply and unpaid entries will be removed after three days.
Because routes run on working farms, actual distances may vary slightly from the promoted distances. Route profiles and updates are posted closer to the event. Waterpoints will be available but participants are advised to be self-sufficient for hydration. Waterpoints will provide hydration only; food will not be supplied at those stations.
