Run The Vines # Windmeul at Windmeul Kelder
Run The Vines # Windmeul is a bonus event in the Run The Vines 2026 Series presented by First Ascent, held at Windmeul Kelder in Paarl, Western Cape as part of the Waterblommetjie Festival. The festival includes a traditional potjiekos competition and the monthly Windmeul farmers market where visitors can buy local produce, including waterblommetjies. A cellar master will present a waterblommetjies and wine pairing session featuring an original waterblommetjies recipe. A dedicated play area with a jungle gym is available for younger visitors.
The event offers multiple race distances and entry fees:
- 5 km - R180
- 10 km - R200
- 17 km - R230
Races take place on working farms so the promoted distances may vary slightly. Route profiles will be posted closer to the event. Timing is provided by BoutTime and participants must collect a timing tag at registration; a permanent tag is available for R100. Live results and SMS result messages are provided. A R50 late entry fee applies and unpaid entries will be removed after three days. Waterpoints are available but runners are advised to be self-sufficient for hydration. Hydration will be available at waterpoints; no food will be provided there. Medals are awarded to all finishers. Participants are advised not to leave valuables in vehicles and may leave them at registration for safekeeping. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
