Run The Vines RTV 2026 #9 - Kloovenburg
RTV 2026 #9 is the ninth event in the Run The Vines 2026 Series presented by First Ascent, held on 22 August 2026 at Kloovenburg Wine and Olive Estate in Riebeek-Kasteel, Western Cape.
The estate covers about 300 hectares, with roughly 110 hectares planted to vines. Mediterranean cultivars mentioned include Carignan, Shiraz, Grenache noir and blanc, Roussanne, Verdelho and Chenin Blanc. The estate also produces Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Merlot, and farms olives and table grapes. The venue hosts tastings and farmstay accommodation.
Race options and pricing include:
- 17 km R240 includes timing tag
- 10 km R200 includes timing tag
- 5 km R180 includes timing tag
- 3 km adult accompanying child R120
- Kids 3 km U/8 free when accompanied
All children under 12 must be accompanied by a parent. The 3 km for children is intended for parents with small children and not for individual adult entrants; individual adults are expected to enter the 5 km or longer distances.
Races take place on working farms, so actual course distances may vary from the promoted values. Route profiles will be posted closer to the event. Timing is managed by BoutTime and competitors must collect timing tags at registration; a permanent tag is available for R100. Live results and SMS results are provided. Waterpoints are available, but participants are advised to be self-sufficient for hydration. Medals are awarded to all finishers. Unpaid entries are removed after three days and a late entry fee of R50 applies. Valuables should not be left in vehicles; items can be left at registration.
