Rotary Coastal Run overview
The Rotary ALLFIT Coastal Run is a charity run and walk that uses Te Puru Park in Beachlands as its central venue. The event began in November 2018 and from 2024 was changed from a point to point format to a Te Puru Park-centred layout because of the cost of traffic management.
The course offers coastal views along the Pohutukawa Coast and includes some trail sections. The event presents multiple participation options:
- 10 km run or walk
- 5 km run or walk
- Kid's Dash
Participants must acknowledge an event waiver and should be aware of the event refund policy. The event is organised by the Rotary Club of Pohutukawa Coast Inc. Event materials and historical information note the move from starts at Duder Regional Park and Maraetai Beach to the centralized venue and describe ongoing emphasis on outdoor activity and fitness.
