Geelong River Run

The Geelong River Run is a community running event held on February 28, 2027, along the banks of the Barwon River at Barwon Valley Park, Barrabool Road, Belmont. The event uses riverside trails and presents a morning of running and walking focused on connection and community.

There are two course options and the event welcomes athletes, families and casual walkers with accessible, inclusive options for a range of ages and abilities. Finishers receive a medal, and early entries can secure personalised race bibs. The event is described as family friendly and professionally organised by PB Events and supported by major sponsor Steigen.

As part of the event the organisers support River's Gift to raise awareness and funds for SIDS research. The community and charity contribution reported so far is $259,974.
