About the race
Peyton's Wild and Wacky is a trail event in Mount Pleasant, SC on the Laurel Hill Trail that combines an ultra and a shorter race. The ultra follows a 10x5K format, where runners complete ten 5K loops consecutively, and relay teams of two or five share a single bib and divide the ten loops among teammates. A separate 5K uses the same route during the day. Registration opened on September 10, 2026 and closes February 14, 2027.
The event is limited to 700 total entries and several categories have caps; some 10x5K categories are sold out with waitlists available. Solo and relay 10x5K registrants receive a RUN4P Boco Gear trucker hat and all participants receive event swag. To be guaranteed a shirt and bag, registration must be completed by February 1, 2027. On race day there is a runner village area for tents, food vendors including Martin's BBQ and Heavy's, music, coffee and Kona Ice.
The event is rain or shine, has no refunds or transfers, and can be muddy since it is a trail course. The trail is not stroller friendly and dogs are not allowed on the trail. All proceeds will be donated to local charitable organizations named by the organizers. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
