Paws Along the Erie 5K and Festival
Wanderers Rest Human Association Inc., a 501c3 nonprofit animal shelter, hosts a charity 5K and festival on 08/30/2026 at 717 Lakeport Road, Chittenango, NY 13037 to benefit the animals the organization cares for and supports.
Event options include running and walking with or without dogs. Distances offered:

The course is a scenic out-and-back on a flat stone dust trail. Participants may run or walk solo or with their dogs leashed alongside them. Dogs taking part must be friendly, have an up-to-date rabies vaccination, and be leashed at all times; proof of rabies vaccination is required at check in.
Registration pricing is tiered: $25 during opening week, $30 thereafter until race day, and $35 on race day. Registration includes a WRHA Paws Along the Erie T-shirt as well as standard fuel and hydration provided during the event.
