Courses use trails in Usery Mountain Regional Park and nearby public lands, including sections through the Goldfield Mountains, Bulldog Canyon, and parts of the Maricopa and Hawes trail systems. Routes feature single track, OHV-style trail, sandy washes, exposed and rocky sections, climbs to Pass Mountain Saddle, and running through cholla forest areas with views of Pass Mountain and the Superstition range.

Aid stations are positioned approximately every 3.0 to 8.6 miles and supply water, electrolyte drink, sweet and salty snacks, and fruit. This is a cupless race; runners should carry a reusable cup or obtain one on site. Crew and pacer rules vary by distance: pacers are allowed only for the 50 Mile at specified aid stations, and crews have designated access points; remote drop bags are provided for the 50 Mile and start/finish drop bags are available for other distances.

Additional practical details include a park entry fee of $10 per vehicle (effective 1/1/26), shuttle arrangements for overflow parking, on-site medical support from MedStar Solutions, clear course markings with ribbons and signs, chip timing at the finish, race shirts, and post-race food.
